All of this is Chiron’s fault.

He may not have meant it, but it still was his mistake. He’s the one I couldn’t trap. He’s the one who convinced me to expose Corriveau and her Clan, and I’m the one who’s going to pay for it.

Chiron’s tried to make up for it, of course. He’s apologized profusely, promising to keep me hidden from Corriveau and her minions, but I’ve decided not to forgive him.

Call it the pettiness, call it revenge, but I’m getting old, and I’ve never pretended it be a saint.

I’ll let Chiron go about his business as he’s always done, doing his work with the Beastclans and flying around the continent on Forum Council business, and I will watch, as I’ve always done. I will listen and write, filling my notebook with secrets until the perfect moment to strike.

It’s going to be beautiful.
