I’ve taken so many notes on everyone else, it’s only fair that I put something down for myself.

But what to say? I’m not an interesting dragon. I’m a former school teacher, though I never could bring myself to be fond of children. I’m a dunfeather, often shunned by my fellow coatles. I’ve never been to the Ashfall Waste, though the instinct to migrate there hits me ever summer.

I suppose these are interesting things.

Still, I’ve always thought that other dragons were much more interesting that I was, and perhaps that’s why I started writing about them. I wrote about them for a long time before I realized I was creating somethign of value. It took me even longer to realized that others didn’t appreciate what I as writing.

Call it justice, call it blackmail, I don’t think what I’ve been doing is wrong.

If dragons are honest, I don’t have anything to write down. If they aren’t, then why shouldn’t I take notes and expose their secrets?

And if I profit from it, then that’s just my prerogative for being clever.
