Biography

Ophelia : Progenitor, Beastclan Ambassador

Feisty | Insightful | Shapeshifter | Champion

Info:

Once upon a time, a verdant goddess created a little dragon and set her loose in the world. This dragon was every bit as wild as the untamed forests around her and she made herself right at home, carving out a little lair among the thickets. The goddess looked upon the dragon, who became known as Ophelia, and was pleased, but the goddess thought Ophelia could use a companion. She placed another so the two would cross paths. And cross paths they did.
And Ophelia hated him.

She'd been perfectly content having so much wilderness to herself and saw the newcomer's presence as an unwelcome intrusion. This newcomer, who came to be known as Orpheus, would not be intimidated by cold shoulders and snapping teeth (or perhaps he didn't recognize them as unfriendly gestures, as new to the world as he was). Ophelia's hostility was chipped away by his presence ever at the edge of her home, by gifts, goofy smiles, and an admittedly pleasant personality.

Years went by and slowly saw the introduction of more and more dragons to the ever-growing lair, and what was once more akin to reluctant neighbors became a tightly bonded pair that oversaw their flourishing family with pride.

Though the pair of progenitors left to return to their goddess' realm, confident they'd left their clan the knowledge and tools to continue to grow, they returned again to find their clan had left the forest, becoming nomadic for a time and finally settling in the realm of Light. They were welcomed warmly by many unfamiliar faces and told stories of the clan's faring in their absence.

There had been amity and strife, victories and losses, discoveries and set-backs, and the clan's dragons had cycled time and time again, retaining only a group identity and stories of fabled progenitors. Finally, those fabled two had returned, and the dragons eagerly anticipated a time of stability and growth.

Ophelia and Orpheus couldn't promise that, but they took their places as leaders and friends, guiding their fellow dragons as best they knew how (and participating in no small amount of shenanigans).
