Glory was the first Banescale to be born from the ashes of the Blacksand Annex. He was all alone, prowling the magmatic, burning plains in search of other dragons. He found Guardians, Bogsneaks, Faes, Snappers, and Spirals, but no dragons like himself. The others he met were pure orange, their scales blending in and matching with the fiery landscape...unlike Glory. His bright blue wings stood out against the lava and rocks, making him an easy target for invasions.

One fateful day, the Shadow dragons attacked, pulling Glory away from the brave and kind dragons who had helped raise him. They had meant to take him prisoner, but he burned their claws as the carried him away until they were forced to drop him in the middle of Plague territory. Now in an unfamiliar landscape, Glory had to find some kind dragons who would help him, keeping him safe from enemies. But the Plague dragons weren’t so kind. The small fruity dragon looked tasty, and they hunted him for weeks on end. He found a cave to hide in, cold, starving, and scared out of his mind.

Burn was a Water dragon, taken from her kingdom just like Glory. She too had been dropped into Plague territory and chased til she dropped. She found Glory in his little hiding cave, her grey feathers bloodied and burned. She asked him where he was from and he told her the Blacksand Annex, which made her raise her brows. “How did you find your way here?” she’d asked him. They shared their stories, cuddled together for warmth around a fire he’d built on the cave floor. She told him about this kingdom she’d heard of called Crystalrune, which definitely caught Glory’s attention. He asked her where it was, and she said all she knew was that it was buried deep in Ice Flight territory. Without a guide, they’d get lost and freeze to death...but Glory knew just the dragon.
