___Sheppard made the decision to leave his homeworld at a fairly young age. With the rationing of magic and the abuse of said rationing by dragons in higher castes, life was difficult for the young mage. He escaped into Sornieth, and it was there that he met his future mate, Aryndell. At first, reeling from the culture shock and trying to learn all he could about the new world he was in, he’d only thought of Aryndell as a wonderful guide, and he looked up to the slightly older dragon. As time passed, however, and he grew from a wide-eyed hatchling into a studious and regal adult, he realized that his feelings for the other Imperial was more than simple hero-worship.

___Sheppard is a skilled battler and also a jewelcrafter. He made his gem apparel with his own claws, and is forever gifting Aryndell with various rings, wing decoration, necklaces, and anything else he can craft. He’s gifted the poor male with so many pieces of jewelry that Aryndell can never choose which to wear, and so it remains in special jewelry boxes that he commissioned from other dragons who were skilled with woodworking. Sheppard never minds, he enjoys the act of making something for his beloved, and seeing how Aryndell lights up whenever he’s presented with a new gift. Of course, if he feels a burst of pride whenever they’re battling and he catches a gleam of silver, whichever trinket Aryndell decided to wear catching the light as the dragon himself efficiently takes out an enemy...well, that’s his secret to keep, isn’t it?
