 RHO URUSOV 'WRAITH KING' HEAD OF THE THANATOS SYNDICATE REVENANT OF THE ICEWARDEN DESCENDANT OF THE DEMI-GOD ZIMA «- - - - - - - - - - - - - ❖ - - - - - - - - - - - - -» At the centre of the organisation called the Thanatos Syndicate is a man some call the Wraith King. His real name is E'Ro Amvrossi Urusov, but his friends just call him Rho. He's a walking enigma of a kind, for his life was doomed to end the day he was born. A fragile body that simply couldn't continue on, and so his parents made a bargain with the Icewarden. Give the child life. Let the cost be anything, anything. And so Rho was indebted from birth to serve the Icewarden. Luckily for him, he is largely left to his own devices. The Warden still compels him from time to time to do his divine duty, but he was given immense magical power in exchange for this. He has tamed the power over the course of his life and paired with a strict if very doting upbringing, he was shaped into an excellent leader. His mind is whip-sharp, watching over the Syndicate as its disparate gears shift and turn, and he can always put his money where his mouth is when anyone steps over the line and dares to challenge his authority. Rho is a man with an ego. It's hard not to be when you rule over an autonomous mercenary organisation with it's own diplomats and far-reaching contacts. Time, however, has humbled that part of him. Yet he remains serious to a fault, forever carrying the burden of all the people he leads, a burden he never takes lightly. It doesn't mean he can't enjoy himself, or what he does. If he was being frank, he likes how strong he is and he likes proving it to others. He even very much enjoys meeting new people, though the invisible structure of the Syndicate looms over almost everything he does- how this could help them, strengthen them- is a thought that rarely leaves his mind. It hard to be your own person when you have always lived for others, but equally hard to understand others when you have always been emblematic of a higher power and an organisation at the same time.
