Rifate can be unpredictable, impulsive, and hot-tempered at times - he's quite protective of those he cares for, such as his mate, Passenger. He's also a competent fighter in the Coliseum.

One day, he noticed Otto tending to Passenger's injuries after a battle. Rifate falsely assumed that Otto was harming Passenger, and he and Otto engaged in a fight. Rifate ended up injuring Otto, causing him to sustain injuries that made him flightless - however, Naxo intervened before anything could get worse.

Despite his constant anger, Rifate does have a genuinely friendly side, and hopes more can see him in a positive light. He's trying his best to make amends, and Otto has since forgiven him for the incident.
