ORIGINS

Iichkr was born with the ability to shift between the forms of Maren, human, and dragon, and the ability to charm male-identified dragons with only his physical appearance. Since shifting severely drained his magic stores each time he so much as attempted to perform it, he was forced to spend the majority of his childhood learning how to control both his ability and magic output.

With so much of his attention focused on one aspect of his life, he never learned the crucial and basic skills needed to smoothly navigate Sornieth, which included reading, writing, and managing his empathy; all of which he vehemently keeps secret.

When he left his birth clan, he aimlessly wandered the Shifting Expanse, exploring all he could while desperately trying to make up for his childhood’s lost time. Stumbling upon a clan of mechanics, they took him in and taught him all that they knew; it would become one of his most important life skills.

One late afternoon, while out for a swim in Water's Fishspine Reef, he was ambushed by pirates in an attempt to kidnap him for their own gain. He shifted from Maren to dragon to have better odds of defense, and managed to defeat them all via electrocution, but lost his left leg during the very last moments. Though blinded by severe pain and denial, and suffering from blood loss, he managed to save himself by concentrating his electricity on his wound — cauterizing it.

He hasn’t shifted into a Maren since that day for fear of what his tail now looks like, and, having developed PTSD, paranoia, and experiencing frequent bouts of phantom limb, has since kept his shifting ability hidden from all. He's spent much more time than he’d ever admit to fabricating a false, yet believable, story of how he lost his leg and gained his scars.

The Skydancer drew up plans while recuperating from his injuries, and when he was finally well he built his first prosthetic leg from scratch. Since then, he's gone through many iterations. His work has lead others to believe that he’s obsessed with making them better, since he’ll immediately begin designing plans for the next right after finishing his most recent. He occasionally takes commissions and offers free repairs.

He heard about a 'Wayfarer's Haven' in Shadow during his travels. The prospect of having a stable place to call home seemed inviting, and after having sought it out for himself, he hasn't regretted his decision since.

PRESENT

Iichkr still has great difficulty with social situations (especially those involving intense emotions, and expressing his own). To combat this, he ingests a personalized medication twice daily that consists of a concoction of herbs — it's main function's to forcefully block his natural ability to sense others' empathy, which prevents him from becoming cripplingly overwhelmed. It tends to affect others' first impressions of him, leading some to falsely believe that he's arrogant and/or disinterested.

Though he settled in well with the environment, the members of the Haven were another story. Flint, a skydancer-shaped android, was first build as a way to combat his desperation for companionship and loneliness; both caused by his constant, and exhausting, social struggles. After the introduction of Panzer and Jaeger, he shifted Flint's uses to strictly helping him with both his projects and acting as surveillance.

(eesh-ker) Xe'mi name meaning 'bright spark, lightning'.

Holds a spot on the Ring.
His Siren blood causes others to be drawn to him, regardless of if he's trying to compel them or not. He doesn't complain as long as they don't try anything — he's doubly spoken for, after all.
Still has nightmares of his attack and wakes in a cold sweat, though not nearly as often as before he met his mates.
Caerven supplies him with his 'empathy meds'.
Uses his Lightning magic to weld.
- When welding, he always ties his hair back in a low ponytail and wears protective goggles.
Often works long hours into the night. His shop's set up on the outskirts of the Haven, and magically soundproofed, as to not disturb its residents.
Has a concealed dagger on his person at all times.
Is able to breathe 'life' into advanced machines. The ability creates a strong bond between the two as a side effect.
Has previously fooled around with various members in the clan. Keeps such information secret due to respect.
Pronounces his mates' names as (fahn-zer) and (ae-er).
