(vooh-ehk-ooh) Secretly skilled in archery, hand to hand, daggers, and lightning magic. Naturally holds everyone at a distance both physically and emotionally. – Sees almost everyone as permanent acquaintances; is genuinely surprised when referred to as a 'friend'. His facial expressions are generally neutral, and since he isn't able to properly express emotions, nor read the positive emotions of others, he heavily relies on body language. Has a monotone voice. His body's littered with purple scars. The most prominent are the ones on his face, a result of an attempted ambush. – His legs, chest, and back are spotted with patches of Opal; a result of his natural magic reserves becoming overwhelmed while in captivity. Despite how they look and feel, they currently don't cause him any physical distress. Though not vain, an aftereffect from his upbringing is that he takes great care of himself (daily baths, uses expensive lotions, oils, and conditioners from trusted suppliers), and prefers only the best threads for clothes and bed sheets. Can control his dreamscape with ease; taught himself at a very young age in order to have another method to have a break from reality. – Said dreamscape is almost always the same: a small clearing hidden in Nature's forest. He always sits near the edge of a tall cliff face that overlooks a much thicker forest below — successfully hiding his (then) home and main residence of work from prying eyes. Scattered, cotton-like clouds scatter the sky and the only source of light's from the permanent mid-setting sun on the horizon beyond it — an abundance of orange tints that're soft, yet vibrant. Born in Lightning, he was kidnapped just days after his hatching and shipped to the Underbrush in Nature to be groomed as an Exotic and eventually auctioned off to the highest bidder. When he was nearing the target age for auction (the equivalent of eighteen), Vu escaped imprisonment by killing his way out (via a combination of electrocution and a dagger he looted from the second guard, which he still owns). – He was both the first to attempt an escape and the first to succeed. – Learned sometime later that he didn't kill his captors, and for a time silently vowed to do so. – He also vowed to expose them and free the other prisoners, but only succeeded in freeing a few before the 'establishment' up and 'vanished'. He's been keeping an ear out for them ever since. Experienced severe culture shock after freeing himself; became a "street rat" to survive. While living on the streets, Vu learned the basics of hand to hand, archery, and swordplay by others, and was able to learn and hone his dagger skills. He did what he could to scrape by, which quickly earned him a reputation. He stole, roughed others up, did escort and mercenary work, and performed what he had learned in captivity (belly dancing). Learned early on that he had a natural affinity for illusions and protection spells, and made sure to keep his abilities a secret from all. – Easily honed said skills while imprisoned, as it was a way to safely (and silently) pass the time. If he was careful it didn't exhaust him or critically drain his magic stores.
