Had been comfortably traveling with Roca for years when she finally showed him an egg she had been saving, which chose that moment to hatch. The two hatchlings inside almost gave him a heart attack.
PAST
Cindrii was found starving, battered, and unconscious as a hatchling by Katan near the shared border of The Windswept Plateau and The Scarred Wasteland and was immediately brought back to the then-small clan in Plague.It was obvious that the skydancer had suffered trauma, yet (thankfully) had no memory of his ordeal. He quickly developed a strong bond with Katan soon after the coatl adopted and named him. Clues to his origins are that he has Ice-colored eyes, a hard time with maintaining a healthy body temperature, and odd markings on the front half of his body; all confirmed to be because of both frostbite and malnutrition while unprotected in the Ice and Wind territories. In an early effort to help him keep warm, and to cater to his affinity for threes, Vuick'u had originally conjured three small balls of everlasting flame to constantly hover around him. They thankfully didn't have the ability to burn anyone or set anything on fire. Though a bit difficult when Katan first proposed that he have a personal guard of his own, he took to Pororoca almost immediately.
ORIGINS
It was dark and cold, not much light shining into the den from above. Shifting could be heard in the nest, and they realized there were three of them; two girls and a boy, shivering in the biting cold of the Southern Icefields. Instincts told the three to cry, keening for their mother or sire for warmth and food.But for many hours no one came. Only the howling of the wind and eerie whispers from within the bowels of the den answered their calls. One of the females sat aside by herself, wavering often. Her vision was blurred and there were colors she could see that didn’t quite seem to match her surroundings. Breathing was hard — or perhaps it was just the biting cold sucking it out of her. The boy was a different story. He was frantic; no parental comfort was there to calm his panicked state, instincts running wild and screaming at him to find food. He clawed at the edges of the nest, twitching and blinking often. He hardly noticed his sisters, though in the back of his mind he could hear something… The last just lay there. She was still lying partially in her shell, shivering from the cold and otherwise not moving. She couldn’t feel her wings (or move them, she noted) and her feet were numb, focus only on matching her breathing with her lethargic heartbeat… When, at last, Renegade came to the den and investigated the nest she was disgusted. It was worse than before; not only did her offspring bear the marred pattern of her own fur, but they were unhealthy at best. The spell she had cast while the eggs were still within her womb did nothing but cause her discomfort while carrying and laying this batch, all in vain. She turned away to consult her scrolls. Perhaps a different spell…
