Kaph

Kaph is the muscle of the clan. While he isn't on the Coli team most of the time, he is still strong and powerful. He helps out around the clan with odd jobs. His charge is KiteSong ~~(and making fodder for Mr. Noodle dad)~~, and he's been in the clan since anyone can remember. He is JadeSun's best friend and knows most of her secrets. She always goes to him for everything.

Her Darkest Secret

JadeSun and Kaph had always been friends. Ever since the pearlcatcher had showed up, eager to help, Kaph had seen her potential and supported her. Kaph always listened to her. And they became friends. JadeSun started telling Kaph her secrets. They were deep. Dark. Scary. Kaph was shocked that the seemingly carefree dragoness had so many problems and troubles. But nothing could have prepared him for the biggest secret of them all.

It had been a long day. Kaph yawned and stretched out his wings as he slowly walked toward his den. Jadesun stepped out of the shadows and walked toward him. Confused Kaph stopped walking and studied his friend. She looked tired. Worn.
"What's wrong, Jade?" Kaph asked anxiously. Kaph was the only one who could call JadeSun Jade. She sighed.
"Kaph...I-I've told you a few of my secrets. There is more. And-" She paused, taking a deep breath. "And I have the biggest of all to tell you now. Come with me. To my den. Please." JadeSun said, looking at her friend with sad eyes. Kaph nodded and followed her, a little confused. JadeSun stepped inside her den and sat down, breathing shakily.
"This-this secret I haven't told anyone. Not my parents. Not Cypress. No one. Until now." She said slowly, as if every word pained her.

Kaph sat next to her and wrapped his wings around her comfortingly.
"it's safe with me. Everything you say is safe with me. I will die for you without a second thought."
Kaph said in as gentle a voice as he could. JadeSun hugged him quickly.
"Thanks Kaph. You're the best!" She said, smiling slightly.
Kaph grinned.
"Fire away."
JadeSun nodded, and after a moment, she started.
"Food does not give me sustenance. It doesn't fill me up or give me energy."
Kaph blinked.
"Then...then what does?"
JadeSun closed her eyes and took a deep breath. When she opens them, they are sad and lonely. So lonely.
In a voice so quiet he can hardly hear, JadeSun whispers;
"Tears."
Kaph's eyebrows went up, and before he could stop himself, he blurts;
"Like a vampire?! Tears? Wait-why don't you just-just drink your own tears?"
