Biography
Valentine Hood
Intern Researcher
-Straight, He/him
-Though born on the Zephyr Steppes, Valentine has lived in the Starfall Isles his entire life - having been adopted into a large family in Focal Point made up mostly of other orphaned dragons from all walks of life. It was an incredibly chaotic household with so many different kids running around, but he wouldn't have asked for anything else. His parents were incredibly kind people with more patience than surely any other dragons in the Isles, and though his siblings could be as siblings often are, it was nice to never feel alone. There was always someone there for him if he needed or wanted, and with the crowding, they were more than happy to leave him be if they wanted as well (there's always someone else to bother!). Val has always been perhaps the more studious of his siblings, so it wasn't much of a surprise that he managed to land a scholarship with a prestigious school in the area once he left public school. But then, at some point.... um, well. He doesn't remember how or when, but he found himself working at SAR regardless. Comfortably moved into a little ramshackle apartment in Starwood, interning under some of the other researchers at the institute. Though he still keeps in contact with his family and goes back for holidays or birthdays, he's being kept pretty busy these days. Those researcher guys sure do need a lot of paperwork organized!
-Valentine's family would say that he's always been perhaps a little too gullible and kind for his own good. Sure, like anyone, he will get a little be annoyed if you mess with his stuff or he's aware you're messing with him. But he can get past it pretty quickly if you have a good excuse or a good sounding apology lined up. He prefers to have faith in people as much as he can, and believes pretty heavily in the inherent goodness of people as a whole - his upbringing taught him that dragons of all different backgrounds and personalities and skills CAN get along, they can love each other and be family. And he carries that teaching with him everywhere he goes. But besides that, Valentine is mostly... very busy. In his kindness and his eagerness to learn, he can sometimes end up biting off a bit more than he can chew and not realize until someone points out the stupid amount of work he's burdened himself with. Not that he seems bothered. He's so got this under control, he's used to chaos.
-Not partnered, balancing work life and a social life is hard.
