Arctos's inventions aren't a solo effort. The casual visitor to her laboratory might think so, but that's only because Cinder is so easily overlooked. Soft-spoken and reclusive, he's a lot more likely to hide on a bookshelf than greet a newcomer.

In the laboratory, though, he's fearless and enthusiastic. His slightly offbeat ideas are a natural compliment to his mate's drive to create. His small size makes him a natural at tinkering with delicate gears and mechanisms. And his overabundance of Lightning magic makes him a natural at testing new mechanical parts, although trial runs can - and do, at times - lead to somewhat violent explosions.

Arctos couldn't care less, though, and Cinder's place at her side has never once been called into question. Their large and prosperous family has sent many promising dragons to work in the Stormcatcher's laboratory, although some of their children have also found their way to other clans. While Cinder is often sad to see them leave, he is proud of their accomplishments and their dedication to the Tempest Spire. 		~~~~~~
