"One day, beneath the harsh desert sun, two dragon parents sought frantically for a way to save their offspring.

Their nest was a sickly one; the eggs within it had failed to thrive. Medicine had failed them, so in desperation their parents turned to magic.

An old book, musty and long-forgotten, told the parents of a secret which might save their young. It spoke of a ritual that would save them, if its conditions were met. Their hatchlings would survive, and they would be imbued with potent magic unlike any other, but it would come at a price - one that the parents must pay. In order for their lives to be saved, the dusty old book said, the eggs would have to be given over to the sky, forever losing their earthly ties. They would be claimed by no one, beholden to no family but each other."

"This is Pulchrior. In his life, he has come to value two things more than all else - a strong family and a powerful warrior clan. To accomplish his Charge, he has sought to spread his family's influence throughout all of Sornieth. While he values all of his children, he is particularly fond of those who have gone on to achieve combat prowess in their new clans.

But in order to grow his family's influence, Pulchrior needs help. To this end, he has created the Night Warrior Project. Through this initiative, Pulchrior and his mate, Kidara, find clans who are in need of new warriors and send their hatchlings there for training. These children, called the Night Warriors, form a network that connects and protects the many clans where they live."

"Welcome to the Celestial Runners Project - a project based on breeding dragons and leveling them to level 20. This is also a lore based project, where the further you get from the starting pair, the less magic one will find imbued in the hatchlings. Therefore other, stronger magic must be introduced using other dragon breeds whose magic may influence the family in various ways.

The innate abilities of the family include word, bone and blood magic, as well as stargazing and future predictions. There is also a bit of unknown magic from space - the mystery of how existence began included. Each hatchling has their own personality, their own abilities. This makes the family incredibly special and incredibly mysterious. It is not often that they share their magic and secrets, but it is passed down in the family. Each hatchling has their own secret to be discovered."
