Biography

lightningtop.png

Uh-oh, looks like this little bluebird wandered a little too far from his home lair (MegaraBane, 446810), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but he would be very grateful!

You can also take him to the hub if you really wish to be rid of him, but please do not sell him on the Auction House.

Horizonsky never really felt at home in Scattered Scale, despite his brother settling down quite easily among the Shadow clan. He soon decided to pick himself up and travel the world, hoping to one day find his true purpose, and maybe someday he could return home to his brother to talk about his worldly travels. So he's keeping a journal to detail all of his adventures to share with his brother upon his return!

Horizonsky spent a few days at the border of the Scarred Wasteland and Tangled Wood. When he arrived, a Bluemoon Aviar started to follow him. The dragons of the clan told him that he could keep the familiar with him if he wanted, and he accepted.

He left a few days later.

Dear Diary:

I have just arrived in the Windswept Plateau. It is very sunny and open here, nothing like my home in the Tangled Wood. So far, the clans I've met here are very welcoming, and open to visitors. The natives seem to be mostly Spirals and Skydancers, but there are other species as well.

I am currently staying with a small clan who lives in a calm peaceful valley, with a few other traveling dragons. I've met a mischievous brother and sister, and a gentle Gaoler.

There is a charming Imperial female who lives here. Her name is Saporito, and she is very sweet, with a nice laugh. I had two hatchlings with her while I was here, and I hope to stay a bit longer to see them.

Well, that's all that has happened so far.
I will write soon again.

Dear Diary:

I made it to the border of the Sunbeam Ruins and the Shifting Expanse. I found a really lovely innkeeper named Vanilla and stayed in her inn for quite a while. I liked how busy the city was; Lightning dragons were so different from my home shadow clan. It felt good to be back in my element! But a lot of the residents were from all over Sornieth, so maybe their bustling charm came more from being city folk! Hard to say.

The only issue is, it's so loud and bright at night. The streets are lined with enchanted lamps, and there is activity outside even well past 2 or 3 am. I can't help but feel this place could have been my permanent home, if I could get a full night's sleep. Oh well! Can't be helped. I did find this little crab on my windowsill earlier on in my stay and he seems to have taken a liking to me. I think he may want to stay with me when I go.

I leave tomorrow morning with my new companion. Wish me luck!

Dear Diary:

I have somehow wandered into the Ashfall Wastes! I have no idea how my species could live here, it's so hot and random sparks that have fallen from the sky have singed some of my feathers. I ran into a guardian that seemed to appear out of nowhere and he was kind enough to escort me out of his clan's territory.

I hope never to visit there again.

Dear Diary:

I left that horrid, fiery hot place! And now my wanderings brought me to the Starfall Isles. This land has a rather...mystical touch to it? No, more like out of this world. There is pink grass, crystals, trees that glow bright during the night, and even floating islands!

While on a stroll through the Starwood Strand, looking for a place to stay, I was basically jumped by a crazy Spiral, a crazy fast one that is! I felt like he would have cut me in little pieces if he wanted. Fortunately, a kind looking Tundra passing through was able to clam down the Spiral and I was finally able to recompose myself from the shock. The Spiral gave me an amused look and went away. I don't know what all that was about, but I hope I NEVER see that one again, that was awful.

Dameron, the Tundra, invited me to stay into the clan for a while. He guaranteed me that Spiral, a guard of some sorts, isn't around much...or so he thinks. Honestly he seems a bit absent minded, but has a good heart. Apparently he works making soaps, and gave me some samples! They are pastel pink and shaped like crystals, a lovely gift.

I have stayed for a while here already, and met many eccentric figures, but I think It's time for me to visit new places. I will say my goodbyes tomorrow and return to my travels.

Dear Diary:

I’ve landed in the foul wastes of the Wandering Contagion (now, I am allowed to say thusly—the inmates of the local clan say so of the land themselves). Ponderously, despite the heat and acrid stench of the native winds, the dragons of this particular lair have an affinity for the softer, sweeter things in life. Given the abundance of rots and fungi that plague any and every vulnerable tissue, fruits found in this lair are either of earthly metals and polished gems, or are the callused, hardy things that this land calls ‘fruit’. I don’t envy the herbivores of the area. Nonetheless, their love for those things which comforts them persists through its rarity.

I was found by one of their sentries, a rather small Skydancer who looked as if he were perpetually caked in mud. He said it was his natural inborn coat, and took pride in its illusory effect. Soil of the earth, he proclaimed himself. I asked if he meant ‘salt’ of the earth, to which he cheerfully denied.

After being fed a hearty meal that could’ve easily have eaten me back, I gathered some information from the warm host of dragons who welcomed me into their cavern. I learned about the Clan’s founder, an apparently large, slumbering Mirror who had tired of the life of hunting, and I became curious what such an individual would be like to meet. Is he hibernating? Is it safe to meet such a dragon? Clan inmates explained (with a bit of a mischievous giggle, might I add) that meeting the Mirror, unhelpfully named Antaxis, may very well be an encounter I would never forget. I was fully prepared to meet nothing less than a dormant savage.

What I was presented with did, in fact, become something I’d be keen on remembering. The Beast, not much bigger than I, was curled in on himself in a careful crescent, clothed in soft fabrics and the stillness of comfortable sleep. He snuggled a plush under two loose arms, trilling peacefully in the way a hatchling would. This wasn’t some battle-worn beast, he was just sleepy.
