Bringing the beautiful imperial into the clan may have been Maru's worst mistake. She is a vain and self-absorbed creature, and she absolutely refuses to obey any orders. Huia has one clutch with Aaniwaniwha, and never forgoes a chance to remind Maru of the success of her bloodline.

Huia is an accomplished huntress, but due to her overconfidence often bites off more than she can chew. She was raised in the Plague Flight, and is knowledgeable on diseases and injuries. Sick or injured dragons are taken to her for diagnosis, but she would not dream of trying to cure them, instead leaving that to Manawa.

She lairs alone in a jumble of giant boulders, and is often seen perching atop them, sunning her wings.

Part of the second hunt team with Taahei and Taioma.

Had a clutch of two with Aaniwaniwa, a male and female ridgeback. The male, Shadow, was sent to clan Adept and the female, Sappho, adopted by clan Frostfeather.
