Shadow, the Founder
A fierce, straightforward, traditionalist dragon, Te Maru is a desert-born dragon with a vision for her clan.
Maru's main duties are as clan administrator and overseer of breeding programs, but she is also often busy in the field training warriors or hunting to keep her clan fed.
She expects obedience without question from all clan members, who are to participate in clan breeding projects and experiments when ordered to do so. Maru herself has participated in gene experimentation.
Her great sorrow has been her own lack of breeding success. She had a clutch of four with Marama, all gray males. Three were traded for Kaihao, Whanaariki, and Taioma. Only the youngest, Kauruki, stayed in the clan until his exaltation. Her second clutch with Kaitiaki was more successful, and includes the current heir apparent, Kaimaru, and his brother, who are both currently being fostered at clan Adept.
Maru's council are Marama, Kaitiaki, Kahurangi, Ruakanapu, Koowhaiwhai, Kandy of Hollowed, and Eran, although Koo is on the council in name only and rarely attends meetings.
