SKELIZARD
|The Leader|
plaguemidsmall.png

Gender: Agender
Role: Leader
Orientation: Asexual
Hobbies: Bone collecting
Likes: Dead things, Living things, Skeletons & Skulls, Bone carvings
Dislikes: Unnecessary Violence & Destruction

A Living Statue made in the past. Whether it was of any significance to whoever made it is unknown. Since awakening from its lifeless form it has made its home within a cave along the side of Rotrock Rim. It is there that Skelizard grew its clan into what it is today.

Personality:
Skelizard is quiet and communicates what it needs to through expression and body language. Skelizard is pretty laid-back, it doesn't restrict the clan from too many things and watches over them while making the important decisions rather than playing much of a huge role in the clan. Back in the days when the clan was relatively small, Skelizard would often go out adventuring and scavenging in the Abiding Boneyard. Nowadays it rarely leaves the area around the cave and often observes its clan mates and the other inhabitants of the Scarred Wasteland keeping watch for potential threats. It's pretty chill but can often be intimidating and hard to read.

Backstory:
Skelizard's origins were in Dragonhome where it was brought to life, it was there Skelizard observed its surroundings and watched many other dragons partake in their daily lives, studying them, and in turn learning from them. It was by doing this that Skelizard learnt it does not have the ability to speak, or at least speak any sort of translatable language any other would understand. Due to this Skelizard opted to remain silent and communicate through a variety of stares, expressions and body language. If it was too much of a task to communicate something effectively to another Skelizard will save the struggle and achieve what it wants itself. The same method is generally used when one is trying to communicate to Skelizard as it understands few words.
Skelizard was unsure of itself, what it was, what it should be doing, and how to fit in. Limited communication made it difficult for Skelizard to truly bond with any dragons. Skelizard would look out into the open beyond Dragonhome's border and wonder what lies out there. Maybe somewhere out there is beings like itself? There was only one way to truly find it. It was at this point Skelizard decided to venture out beyond Dragonhome's borders, many dragons surprised at the being known as Skelizard's abrupt disappearance.
It was this journey that led Skelizard to discover the violent and cruel Scarred Wasteland which led to the discovery of bones of various creatures and possibly other dragons. Something about these objects intrigued Skelizard, not knowing the origins of bones, Skelizard could see life in these inanimate objects and sought to collect any it found on the scarred wasteland floor. Perhaps they too could breathe life one day, Skelizard hoped one day this would happen.
Tiny Spiral arms can only carry so many bones so Skelizard sought out a vacant cave within the edge of Rotrock Rim. What initially started out as just a hoard location for a bone pile became a place Skelizard called home.
Skelizard felt much more comfortable here in the Scarred Wasteland, the locals here often communicated with few words, making them much easier to interact with, and soon Skelizard began to form bonds with other dragons. Clyptonomous and Limber became its first friends, and the first members of the clan.

Skelizard is based on an OC of a Living Statue of a lizard/reptile/thing brought to life. Art of it can be seen below.

This Parda named 'Soot' took a liking to Skelizard when it explored the Rainsong Jungle on its way to the Scarred Wasteland and followed it home. It's one of the clan's most notable pets.
