Layla. Celestial beauty, treasure, my night. Those loving words were all that she could remember before she set out into the world. So young, so fragile, how would she survive? Away from the warmth and comfort of the Sunbeam Ruins, Layla was quick to adapt. She learned what she could, when she could. She observed how other dragons would gather food and safe drinking water from afar, she was not ready to join them yet, but she took advantage of whatever she could learn. As nightfall approached after long days of travel, she found comfort in the sight of the star-filled sky above her, a promise of light among the darkness.

As time went on, Layla began to tire of roaming the various territories Sorneith consists of. She had seen the great Observatory, she was nearly swept away in the Twisting Crescendo, but what now? Where to next?
Nothing was certain, that was sure in her mind. She had been moving for so long, spending nights in different territories, but under the same stars. That alone brought her comfort through it all. Layla thought. And thought, and thought. What would her future hold? Perhaps she may be an astronomer, or a star-mapper? She smiled at the thought of all that could be. Suddenly, she heard a shout in the distance. Was this her new beginning?
