Salix was raised by her two mothers, Sundew and Averie, in the queendom of Nature. There, she grew up as the only heir due to the two queens unable to produce offspring, and was treated all the same like she was. Since the queendom of nature was a queen-led society, females were almost always the ones in power. The scribes and preistesses of the temples helped raise Salix while she was growing up, do to her mothers being busy and unable to care for her the full time. Salix didn’t mind this, however, and loved the scribes and preistesses just as much as her mothers. Though it was quiete lonely, being the only one her age sorriunded by the rich and powerful, so she often took walks in the royal garden to cheer herself up. One night, she wandered rather than she normally went and got lost, not seeing the stay back signs. With a large trip, she hurdled throuh a bush and into a large tunnel system until finally coming to a stop.This was where she met Tiqasha, a prisoner from the ice neighboring ice kingdom. Salix used her magic that she had been learning at the temples to help him escape, and they played together while Tiqasha’s wings healed from the beating. Though he soon healed and fled, she never did see him again, and didn’t expect to. Or, that’s what should have happened.

When she was older and ruled the queendom, the ice kingdom had declared war. In the middle of the battlefield, allies and enimies dropping to either side, Salix charged through and demanded to see the king. Tiqasha had been the king for many years, as his father had passed while he had been away, so he had turned cruel and bitter. “Tiqasha! What are you doing?” She had demanded, while Tiqasha stood up and leaped at her. Tumbling down, down down, until they found themselves in a clearing, Tiqasha stood up for the finishing blow. Closing her eyes, Salix was prepared. But it didn’t come. She looked up to see a arrow sticking out of her old freind’s chest, and they lay their as the battle raged on, saying their goodbyes and regrets together. Meanwhile anoter dragon and strikes his king, and had soon been killed as well. Once the light was gone from Tiqasha’s eyes, Salix stood up with a loud roar. The battle had ended, the losses unforgivable.
