Remote, luminous, and shimmering with unseen power, Aya is nonetheless very young - for an angel. She looks the same today as she did a hundred years ago.

Her mate is the Blind Prophet Strianche. He and Aya have matching scars that bisect their left eyes, though nobody in the Clan is aware how those scars were acquired, or who they were inflicted by.
 Sometimes, while she is away, Strianche speaks of things - future enemies, possible allies, inevitable friends - that are impossible for him to know of. It is suspected that Aya sends him visions from the outer rings to warn the Clan of what she cannot warn them of.

Aya is almost never among the clan. It is said that in her time away, she ascends to such great heights that she spirals among the stars.
