» A shy and gentle nocturne, Sonnet spends most of her time in the schoolhouse teaching the village hatchlings. She reads to them every day, helps them to learn painting and other crafts, and tells them all about the history of Sornieth, the Southern Icefields, and the local area.

» Outside of school, she spends most of her time in the library. She spent so much time curled up between the bookshelves reading and writing poetry that she and the librarian, Cypress, began to chatter about some of their favorites. This turned into daily reading sessions where they would sit next to each other, sometimes even reading to each other.

» Sonnet and Cypress secretly have very strong feelings for each other but are both too shy to tell each other.
