There isn't much in my life. It's just a loop. Wake up, eat, work, sleep. And repeat. Occasionally, on the weekends, I will take care of the little ones, while the caretaker isn't there. Sesame is a pain, and I'm not sure how much longer I can care for the hatchlings. But I know they need it. So I push on with my dreaded life and don't try to escape from this castle. It is, after all, my only source of shelter. Where else would I go? I had a mate, but he's in the dungeon now. They barely feed him anything. It's horrible, really. But at least he isn't dead- yet. I am not dead either, which is really surprising. I would've thought they would have killed me by now. I'm practically useless, with my age only growing higher and higher in numbers. I fear that one day, I won't be able to wake up. But that is nothing compared to my fear of him himself. As I see him prance down the halls I edge away. Really, it's quite frightening. He acts like he doesn't even notice me, but I see him as he turns his attention to me when he thinks nobody is looking. He hasn't requested me to be slaughtered or thrown in the dungeon yet. I suppose his ego and reputation is stronger than his feelings.

Our talent show is quite popular. It's new as well, which is interesting to visitors. I think anyone, no matter if they had found out about our abode yesterday or years ago knows how slow it can be. Honestly, I don't think we've had a new section to our comedy show since... 2004? 2006? I can't even remember. In other words, it's a hit. And I know that seems like a good thing, but if you're me and have been here ever since this place has opened, you'd better believe it definitely not. Especially when there are so many secrets to be held.
Of course, that's another tale, for a different day. I think the only way I'll be telling you those stories is when everybody else is this cursed place is either; one, dead, two, my allies, or three, gone. Just... In general. Gone.

I fear that I will be gone very, very soon.
