Long ago, when Shai the Matriarch founded the clan, she was not alone. Her companion, sent to her by the Shadowbinder herself, was the mirror dragon Sobek, a devoted warrior and fierce guide through the swamp of Shadow. Sadly, shortly after the founding of the clan, a tragedy befell Sobek, and he went utterly mad. Shai did all she could to save her from himself, but was forced to send him back to the Shadowbinder, never to return...

Or so she thought. Now, generations later, a new scion of the clan, with the same colors as the lost progenitor, has emerged, claiming to hold within him the redeemed soul of the mad warrior. But is his tale the truth? Or is he merely claiming a bold opportunity where he sees one?
