Arctic

An endless journey through ice and snow...

Arctic doesn't remember anything before the blizzard. They consider their journey to be what truly gave birth to them, rather than a mother that they no longer know the face of. They no longer remembered their birth name, instead choosing to be called by the event that shaped them. After they emerged from the snow, they found themself in an unfamiliar land of magic and wonder. Their journey had awakened power over ice, power that took a significant toll on them, as the more they feed their magic to ice, the more the ice consumes them. Because of this, they now live a restful life, providing wisdom and mentor-ship for the rest of their clan. While they always try their best in their teachings, the results of some of their stories and teachings have led them to be haunted by many regrets.

Their first apprentice, a Nocturne by the name of Jeans, was fascinated by the story of their life. She admired them greatly, and wanted to be like them, so one day, she wrapped herself in the warmest coat she could find and flung herself into a blizzard. She only survived due to being a fire dragon, but came back an empty shell of herself. Arctic was distraught, and now dreams of their young apprentice being pelted by the ice every night.

However, they have begun to move on. They care for Jeans along with the rest of the clan, and have taken on a new apprentice, Magic. She is still young and inexperienced, but Arctic is determined not to repeat their previous mistakes, viewing his new teachings as their redemption. They have found happiness with their place in the clan, and would not change a thing about their position within it. Though the burdens of ice forever weigh them down, they have many friends, family even, to help them carry it.
