Ekiwe (Sentry):
As an Ekiwe of the clan it is Usiku’s duty to gather information about the individuals and on goings in the territory of the clan.

Everything from Beastclan groups to prey movement, from dragons passing through to visitors to the clan needs to be investigated and conveyed to the heads of the clan. It is not the duty of an Ekiwe to take any action. As such Usiku is content to watch on.
About Usiku:
Usiku is a shy dragon. He doesn’t speak much and is rather timid. His strength lies in has practical mind and his ability to think on his feet. The usage of tamed Birds native to the Tangled Wood to convey messages in between the Ekiwe and to the Lihaja was his idea.

At first his little messengers were only for the purpose of staying in contact with his mate whenever they were separated by long distances on their assignments. Soon though the fact that the birds were nearly invisible in the dim light of the Tangled Wood and even if seen so unassuming they never were intercepted as well as the fact that the clever birds could find the recipient of the message no matter where the hid lead to Usiku training more birds.

Today each Ekiwe has a Messengerbird on standby wherever they go. Additional birds near constantly roam the woods. This - while counted as a great success by most of the clan - lead to Lycaeides becoming Usiku's worst rival. For it was her that taught Usiku about the birds native to the Tangled Wood. Now she feels that she is overlooked by the clan for her part in this development.
