Biography
In an almost inhospitable world, there was enough battle-hardened dragons, dragons trained up from a young age to be warriors. Brolos' parents intended this for him as well, but the young ridgeback rejected the idea as a hatchling, and continued to do so after emerging from his hatchling days. He didn't feel hard, he didn't feel battle-willing. No, Brolos wanted to be someone full of love and light, a seeing-eye dragon with a softness to how he spoke and treated others.
Ironically, when he met a blind dragon with the opposite ideals and opposite wants, a friendship was born. His name was Varkon, the Clan's knight of the old ways, and the two dragons appeared physically the way the other desired to. But inside Varkon was opposite of Brolos in every way,. rude and brash and kind of an idiot, and Brolos quickly came to adore him. It was together that they decided to change, metaphorically holding hands through Varkon's shift to Ridgeback and Brolos' shift to Tundra.
It wasn't easy, but Varkon had a softer side when it came to Brolos and so helped him through every detail of the transformation. Finally, Varkon was a ridgeback, appearing tall and strong, while Brolos was a tundra, all soft feathers and kind eyes.
After this transformation, Brolos poured himself into magic and his studies, feeling finally at peace with who he was. But one could say he also poured himself equally into Varkon, devoting whatever free time he had to being at Varkon's side. He knew most people didn't care for Varkon's rudeness very much, but he also knew that nobody else saw the softer side that Brolos was lucky enough to see. What he didn't know was what people did see: the look in his eyes whenever he saw Varkon, or the way they stood too close. No, he didn't know that at all.
