War is not something to be proud of. War is ugly. War is messy. War is the escalation of many, many mistakes, and by the Spirits has Guerra made mistakes.

It was never supposed to be this way. War was never supposed to have the meaning that it now does. The original concept of war was more equivalent to survival. It was the dividing of resources. It was the choice to steal or die. To fight and live. War was a dance of life and death.

And now its meaning has been soiled forever.

War now has more sinister beginnings.

Guerra must live with the guilt of what he had brought to the world of Selcouth. He must live with the guilt of the lives he took. The families and homes he destroyed. It was never his intention to bring such misery to the world.

And although Guerra blames himself, it was not entirely his fault. His younger brother, Naperone had unleashed a demon on him. This demon took over Guerra's mind and it was this vile creature that then took Guerra's creation and mangled it into the ugly thing it is now.

Guerra eventually fought off his possession, but it was too late. The world was ruined and both gods and mortals hated him. Guerra was also extremely weakened from his fight that lasted thousands of years.

Today Guerra is still recovering from what the demon did to him. He has trouble standing. He gets awful migraines. He has trouble eating. He was once a strong god, and now he is a shell of himself. And his mental health is even worse. He's convinced that he deserves to suffer for being War. He's convinced that it's only a matter of time before he hurts someone else. He believes he's a monster and most of the gods agree.

Guerra’s weasel Guardian is named Pathi. She’s happy her master is back to normal, but is ashamed she failed to protect him or recognize he had been possessed by a demon. She believes she’s a failure of a Guardian.
