Idearis was originally a direct servant of the Arcanist who lost her way. Living in the Observatory was a blur for the fae, at least, now, and to this day, it is not something she prefers to remember.

She thinks back on the time with distaste, and while she has her goal to bring her clan to live with the Arcanist once more, she does not do this out of the idea of growing stronger. In hindsight, she should've stayed as far as away from the Arcanist as she could, but out of faith, she chose to move closer again, hoping, maybe, with the amount of treasure and hatchlings that have gone to see the Arcanist by the time she had her lair grow big enough, the Arcanist would have forgiven her for her acts of treason.

Being a servant was probably a horrible idea. Idearis was considered weak, as she had unstable magics, so most of her work was situated in one of the Observatory's many (and smallest) libraries. She did not often see the Arcanist himself, but she imagined him as a kindly soul with love towards his scholars, at least, the devoted ones, and she was devoted alright. Quite devoted.

However, her weak body led to her to daydream quite often, leaving her distracted and weak. A piece of the Shade had crept into the Observatory without anyone's notice and took hold of her while she was daydreaming.

Under this possession, she had no actual idea what was going on until she was brought to her own senses. Books were left burned in the tiny library, but not the whole thing. That was her doing? She had no idea. This was a crime in the Arcanist's realm, and even if it was accidental, one couldn't be a danger to the research.

So she was sent away, cast into exile in the Crystalspine Reaches, where she would be able to grow stronger and less vulnerable before moving back into the Reaches.

It was there that she met a Guardian who was in much pain. A Nameless Guardian. He looked as fragile and weak as she, however, in a different way. With what kindness she had in her heart, she rushed to his aid, and after a tentative recover, they started their first clan together, sharing each others' pasts and deciding what to do from there, and this was the birth of Clan de Hexus.
