Personality:
At first glance, Shaco is a quiet and studious dragon. She seems passive and compliant, but her mind is nearly always running at full throttle. She has a lot of anxieties deeply connected to her family's dark secrets. She resents her mother for caring more for the familiars than her own daughter, and hates her father for killing her siblings. If brought to an emotional edge, it is very likely that Shaco's gut reaction will be to lash out with magic. She harbors a lot of anger and negativity, but fails to deal with it without being destructive in one way or another. She often takes out her grievances on her familiar.

History:
Shaco's delicate mother tried to nuture her, but the dragonet was secretly resentful of the attention that her mother lavished on all the extra familiars hanging around the lair and mooching food. She didn't know how to deal with that jealousy and hid away, growing shy. The youth often hid away in a cave where she first found a hippogriff with a broken leg. She hid from it, too, for a while. She huddled in the cave lost in herself as she listened to the creature's hoarse cries. She didn't like leaving it and she couldn't kill it, but she refused to bring it back to her mother.

After days of dancing back and forth she approached the creature. It merely glared at her, which really didn't help. It made her want to hide, but she crept closer until she could try healing magic on it. When the first attempt failed, she trembled and fled. The next time she was around her mother, she watched how she acted with the other familiars and studied her magic. When she returned to the cave, more prepared, she hesitated at the cave entrance. If she healed the beast, it would surely fly away and never come back. She would be alone again with no proof that she had done anything. The girl bit her lip while the thought of inprisonment slithered into her mind. If she cast a spell on the beast, it could be bound to her. She approached the hippogriff like a winter wolf approaches an injured elk.

She named it Tsol, lost backwards, and healed it then. With the creature under her control, she felt a little stronger. Not socially, of course, but in her power. If her mother found out what she'd done, she'd be even more sad than she already was and would therefore just spend more time coddling the familiars. Her father had let her siblings die before, so he was nothing to her. The only thing left for her was to run away.

It was about then when she noticed another dragon seeming ready to depart, not that the big grey Ridgeback was making any secret of it. Beyla couldn't be subtle if she tried with twice the brains she had. Still, Shaco decided to secretly follow the bigger dragon. Tracking her wouldn't be hard. She followed the Ridgeback into the desert and saw her meet the Wildclaw. Perhaps she wanted them to find her; their little idea didn't seem so bad. It would give her the chance to practice her magics, which were focusing more and more on manipulation and control than ever before. It was a purpose that grated against her Lightning magic, but that's why she needed practice.
