Biography
Solstianis was born very soon before his future mate, though neither of them knew it. On October 6th, during the falling leaves moon, two very similar clutches hatched into a new world. ln one nest, eggshells cracked open amidst crackling lightning and electricity, and the blue-eyed hatchlings that tumbled from them were energetic from birth, ready to use their claws and quick minds for many new and unique inventions. One of these was Solstianis - he was a bit slower to crawl from the nest than his siblings, but nothing escaped the keen eyes that greeted his new life outside his egg.
Only a day's flight away was another nest - these hatchlings emerged softly from their shells with gentle grace, inquisitive and quiet as they viewed the world around them. One of these was Astila -she was the first to leave the soft down of their windblown nest, and her pale green eyes showed only a hint of the cunning and curiosity she would possess as she grew.
Solstinis was much like any other dragon as he matured - he possessed no abnormal strength, though he like many lightning dragons was able to move a bit faster thanks to the innate energy within his body. He often found himself bored by his lessons, however. He found the relentless work he had to do and the constant disapproval of his superiors to be miserable - and more than anything, he wanted to be free.
One night he simply left. He'd been sold off as a hatchling so he had no family to speak of - his clan was one wholly devoted to work and the Stormcatcher, and he had no items or gold to his name. He fled to the shores of the sea of a thousand currents and boarded a merchant vessel, determined to work his way through the ranks and earn himself
