Augur

Augur is the clan's most powerful seer and is a caretaker of the Hall of the Divines. Rather than getting her ability to see the future from a deity or spirit, Augur appears to be temporally unstable, able to peer down and up the specific timeline she is on at any time. Augur cannot alter what her visions foretell, but details she gleans from them may be useful nonetheless. As a coping mechanism for the visions' effects on her body, Augur turns to faith to find comfort.

Augur calms her mind during much of her time so as to better understand her visions, but Augur also spends much of what time she has left alongside her love interest, Nairobi, a local alchemist specializing in potioncraft. Augur has even gone about maintaining a sort of peaceful air around the Quarry because, even if Augur can't actually change the future, her visions do put people at ease often times.

Augur was found by Bacchus in the woods one day after Augur had fled her family. Augur had ran to avoid visions foretelling their deaths her family's deaths in advance, but Bacchus and the Quarry have helped Augur cope with her visions.

Augur's visions do not seem to correspond to any of the other methods of foresight that other mages and oracles use. In that sense, Augur is unique. On that same note, Augur's visions cannot be changed, meaning that the future appears resolute for Augur. It is unknown why this is. The leading theory is that Augur is tied onto a singular thread of time on a the great loom of reality. Augur may not be able to deviate from her specific thread, and this state of temporal oddness causes Augur to be able to look up and down the path she is on.

When Augur first came to the Quarry alongside Bacchus, Augur was racked with crippling visions and anxiety. To aid Augur with her issues, Trinity, the only other seer in the clan, offered to help. Though Trinity was not nearly as powerful for a seer as Augur, Trinity was still able to help Augur considerably. Trinity taught Augur various breathing exercises, focusing techniques, meditative skills, and anxiety coping mechanisms. Trinity helped Augur cope.
