Achaius

Achaius is one of two dragons that runs the resource Annex/Notary within the Quarry. He and his sister work in the clan's notary and library Annex on the second tier. Achaius spends much of his day working in the Annex, collecting resources or working on public documents.

Achaius is an enchanter specializing in defensive and passive sigils on garments and objects. Achaius is not a great enchanter, but he finds great use in his skills. He may not be the most powerful mage, but he is studious and rarely makes mistakes in his spell casting. This has allowed Achaius to produce one of the most controvercial enchantments known to dragonkind, a godbrand, able to subvert the will of whomever it is placed on. Having designed a godbrand, it was placed on the Quarry's only prisoner as punishment for the criminal's crime.

Achaius, when not working with his enchanting or notaries, has an avid passion for poetry. He finds the power of words very compelling. This same affinity has drawn Achaius into both literature and clerk work as well as into magic, an art based on patterns and focus. Achaius writes much poetry, but he keeps almost all of it to himself. Achaius does not like to share his work because he finds it embarrassing to do so.

Achaius is bound tightly to Godbrand, whom Achaius designed and maintains a curse upon.
Godbrand is the only prisoner in the clan. During this close contact, Achaius and Godbrand have ended up falling for each other. Godbrand, despite the fact that Achaius has bounded him to servitude, is the only individual that Achaius shares his poetry with.

Achaius is the younger brother of Soteris and the son Trinity and Cato.
