Name(s): Armistice, Zazz
Equiv. Human Age: 21 Alignment: Neutral-Good |
Pronoun(s): She/Her
Gender: Female Sexuality: Heterosexual |
Biography:
Zazz, better known as Armistice, rather recently underwent her search for a Charge. She wandered across the Southern half of Sornieth for years until she came into her own when she wandered into the Starfall Isle. She came upon an ancient totem in the woods made of even older stone. She resigned herself to protect this object but she felt tied down and uncomfortable as she protected it. All around her battles waged and conflicts escalated. Dragon pitted against dragon, Centaur against brother, families pulling each other apart. Armistice decided that she could better protect her perceived charge by protecting others and keeping the peace. The tower has stood for millennia, what's another few years?
Armed with her metal-clad arm, which she built with the help of her father right before she left, she now wields the ability to absorb, direct, and attract static and electricity from her environment and from others. This arm allows Armistice to gather enough power to cast her magic, even if only for simple works. Using this arm to her advantage, Armistice has been working to mend the rifts between families, clans, and dragons for the last few years.
Her first attempt gained her the name Armistice, given to her by the local Centauri in honour of one of their beliefs. The word Armistice in Centauri is the name of a spirit in their Lore who embodies the lightning and thunder that has fought between the Gods of Sea, Sky, and Earth since time immemorial to prevent their mutual destruction. For the interference of Armistice long ago, the gods cast him down in their rage. As a new Mortal, the Centauri of the land watched helplessly as the waves carved at the land and filled the clouds, the winds whipped at the ocean and cut the mountains and lands, and the earth's fire burned the air and boiled the water.
Armistice could only watch the conflict until one thought crossed across his mind. Armistice rose a rod to the heavens, catching his lost lightning from the clouds once more. Following suit, the Centauri rose their own, bringing their new brother's lightning unto themselves. It is said that the power called by the Centauri and by Armistice pulled the sea, the sky, and the earth apart with their cries. Armistice brought to the Centauri the spear, to bring a peace. With the spear, the Centauri raise them to the sky to catch Armistice's spirit and Lightning. That is a moral that the Dunhoom Centauri have followed for centuries.
Zazz's arm, which captures and emits lightning has caught the fascination of the Centauri. Zazz's use of it to protect others and to bring peace has caught the Centauri's admiration. Zazz has inadvertently taken on the role of a modern Armistice. Despite her humbleness, the Centauri still believe in Zazz. What matters to the Centauri more is what Zazz does now.
To this day, Zazz is still hard at work with the Centauri, Longneck, Dragons, and others to attempt to produce a lasting peace in this time of chaos. The Centauri are open to the consideration, as they always have. At least, most of them are. The Longneck, ever ambivalent about the world of Dragons have been more willing to negotiate simply because of the Centauri's interest in Armistice as an idol, and the Quarry is still on the forefront of diplomacy like usual. Zazz hopes that with Mecca, the Quarry's chief diplomat, and the help from the Centauri, that bringing peace will protect her charge from danger.
But, is her charge truly a monolith in the woods, or is it something more symbolic?
