Hailing from the provinces of the Tangled Wood, though he doesn't quite appear to be a Shadow dragon.
His short travels took him to the Southern Icefield, where he encountered a peculiar Pearlcatcher and decided to slip her out of the prison she was kept in.
In return, she promised him the ability to control the element that threatened their wings, that froze their whiskers until they snapped off.
She did, in a way, but by afflicting him with the same frostbitten curse she carries.
His larger body resists it better than hers, and he finds himself not nearly as affected as she is.
And so, despite being unhappy with it at first, he's accepted the ability to breathe frigid fog as well as coating the landscape in shadow.
He knows, however, the curse will only progress; he can already feel it numbing his fingers and chipping his scales.
