Joaquin Sillghiver, ____lover of Amos and keeper of the graves. The duo shared their morbid but fulfilling duties caring for the dead, laying offerings for the unruly and fixing gravestones for the mournful. It was hard, travelling the catacombs and mazes created by the ancients, but the thankful sighs and protective charms made it worthwhile. It was said that no ill could fall upon the duo, for their work was blessed by the Eleven themselves. Only for a time, a time too short; some of the dead are too far lost in their desires to see the error of their strikes. Arctic claws grabbed his soul and dragged him into their realm of undeath, where he lies trapped, his body a mere shell of what it used to be. |

The duo shared their morbid but fulfilling duties caring for the dead, laying offerings for the unruly and fixing gravestones for the mournful. It was hard, travelling the catacombs and mazes created by the ancients, but the thankful sighs and protective charms made it worthwhile. Once Joaquin fell to the grasp of the dead, Amos mourned, finding a new duty in his work; bring his lover back, to feel the warmth in his breath once again. Joaquin still lives, but the shell is but a mockery of what he used to be. |

____The original inheritor of the Crooked Spire, having moved and lived in the temple for years at this point. Most might go mad from loneliness, but Amos calmly- and creepily -assures you that here, you're never alone, and that he can see all manner of spirits and ghouls that hang invisible to the average eye. Hence the blindfold. Not all spirits are those of dragons, and you don't want to be looking at some of them for long. His age is unclear but he remains relatively youthful beneath his old man gait and low energy. And lengthy, unkept mane. And potent magic. ____He might be older than originally believed. ____Whatever the case, Amos remains as the expert on all matters around on the lands, offering advice on each particular duty that newcomers have lifted from his shoulders. From Emelia's work on grave markers and wards to Era's communion with the dead, he watches over with a careful eye, before turning and delving into his numerous collected tomes to find a means to save Joaquin from his plight. "Hellloooo...?" The youthful voice echoed through the chamber, the lovely acoustics returning the energy with a sweet musical note. There's a small clamber and a grunt from somewhere just out of sight, and a heavily maned Wildclaw padded out a few moments later. A blindfold obscured his gaze but somehow, he still pinpointed the newcomer.
"Hello," he mirrored, apparently at a loss for words. Or distracted by something. "Oh, right. You're the new groundskeeper, correct? Was it 'Jah-qween'?"
That elicited a chuckle. One eyebrow barely covered by fabric raised, apparently not as amused as his guest.
"I assume that's not the pronunciation."
"Absolutely not."
Cursed to spend money. Ugh.
