Not every patient who comes to Redwood Reach is visibly wounded or diseased. The big Ridgeback is whole in body. More than whole. In fact, his body could stand to be reduced.
Grimlock's problem is that he is insatiable; no amount of seafood is ever enough to stop him from immediately wanting more. And despite the clan's best efforts to keep him under control he's grown into an enormous pink blob of a dragon, his wings as useless as a Snapper's and his legs, bowed and eventually broken under his weight, good only for clutching at his next meal. There's a clever mind in there, one which is very good at persuasion and not afraid to threaten or blackmail to get what it wants.

And what it wants is more.
