Draped in silk and gilded in gold, Kai is one of the clan's loveliest dragons. His delicate features and graceful movements are ill-suited to battle, but that's not why the clan keeps him around. He sings, he dances- he paints, sometimes, intricate designs that are cherished by those lucky enough to receive them. Unfortunately, that's a rather rare occurance. You see, he had the misfortune of catching the eye of the Queen, and the Railgun hates to share. He's always been a shy, skittish little thing, and in Elysia's grasp he grows meaker and more submissive by the day. He trails along after her like a lost pet; doesn't eat, doesn't sleep unless she gives him permission. They disappear together into the Queen's chambers for long hours at a time, and though the grand murals are indeed slowly taking over the walls, they don't always bring paint. If he sometimes moves a little gingerly after, well, she never leaves a mark. Not that it helps, the whole clan still knows. They bring him gifts, spoil him at mealtimes- Raiden in particular is prone to brushing a wing against his, sympathy in his eyes. But no one says a word. How could they? They all feel the nagging guilt, but it's weaker than that insidious voice which whispers better him than me.
