Oversees all magic that goes down within clan borders, and serves as a bomb squad for any unstable artifacts that might pass through. How a graduate from a prestigious Arcanite university wound up here, of all places, is a bit of a mystery.

A graduate from a prestigious Arcanite university, who waltzed into town one day claiming he was on Elysia's payroll. The townspeople didn't know which was more shocking, that he had the gall to try it or that it was actually true. He was met with aggressive resistance at first, unsurprisingly, and many were surprised that he accepted the position at all. Why did he choose this of all places, if people were tripping over themselves to offer him jobs? The short answer is... they weren't. While there's no doubt that he knows his stuff, his scholarly days were defined less by his genius and more by his laziness and incorrigible flirting.

His first few weeks in the Pointe were an abrupt drop into the real world. Many wanted to turn him away on sight, simply for his eyes and his dress, and many more were deeply uncomfortable with his casual use of magic. It would take a lot of hard work to win them over, and none was more surprised than Valentine himself when he rose to meet the challenge. Few locals have had any sort of training in magic, formal or otherwise, and they (reluctantly) began to see the use in having someone who could stop them from exploding themselves. While he still walks a thin line, he's been doing much better as of late; the insults have started to become less like vicious attacks and more like friendly teasing.
