STORY
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

As one of the dragons who founded the clan with Venin, Norok is highly respected in the lair. Not that she cares. The prestige is meaningless to her. All Norok wants to do is fight things. She itches for it. Her uncanny gift is a knack for precipitate violence and she knows how to use that skill to devastating effect. Norok is a scrappy fighter who doesn't much care for tactics, she likes to feel a battle and react accordingly. Fond of head long rushes and surprise guerilla warfare style approaches, she's either seen coming or she's not and no matter which she's a horrifying force to be reckoned with. Often her size is underestimated much to the misfortune of her enemies.

She is the head hunters, the first among the guard and the best warrior they have. Norok takes her job quite seriously (she is a serious dragon) but has long since altered her warrior-of-all-trades role within the clan to simply the most vicious. She doesn’t have much of a head for planning, being more of an ‘act now, think later’ type dragon, so she leaves all that to other less useful dragons. Instead she takes a very claws-on approach to her job and likes to be in the thick of the fray. Diplomacy is not her thing, she sends other (more tactful) dragons whenever greeting new faces.

Her innate suspicion of everyone makes her prickly and abrasive. It takes a very strong personality to put up with her. Norok is the sort of dragon who one always knows exactly where they stand with, she doesn’t hold her punches, doesn’t gloss over things or sugar coat her words; she speaks her mind and isn’t afraid to state how she feels about someone. No matter whether she’s being critical. She may not be very good at social situations, but that’s not what her job entails. When Venin saved her, she decided to pay her debt in the same way as Inerri: through service. Norok acknowledges Kieri’s role as the new leader, sure, but her primary allegiance will probably always lie with Venin. Not that anyone needs to know that. Besides, she’s a dragon of action, any negotiating or whatever nonsense needs to happen, Daeddrin can see to. Or Ravelin. The other warriors of the clan all defer to her and Norok is fully ready to delegate the jobs she doesn’t like. The only warrior in the clan that doesn’t listen to her is Xhinhai. A bit of a recluse, her enormous fighting capabilities are enough to earn her Norok’s grudging respect. So long as Xhinhai doesn’t hinder her work, Norok is fine with letting her do her own thing.

Norok’s complete lack of social ability combined with her brusque always-angry seeming demeanour mean she doesn’t have many friends. Not really. Denara might be the closest thing to a friend she has in the clan. And that’s fine with Norok, truly. She lost her pack when she was younger and her interpersonal development suffered because of it, resulting in her more solitary nature (an anomaly for Mirrors). But her inability to make friends is somewhat of an understatement when it came to Inerri. They have always been such different dragons and they never got along. Gentle, pacifistic Inerri has even raised her voice at Norok in the past. Thankfully, however, they have both mellowed with age, and while their interactions are still sort of frosty, they’ve finally learned how to live with each other.

OTHER
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
ORIGIN / A Plague clan she can do without remembering, honestly. The victim of a coup, she was exiled in an attempt to make the clan’s leaders – her parents – puppets. They fled after her and got themselves killed. She’s lucky to be alive. Now, she takes changes with grudging acceptance. She hated the idea of the alliance with the Beastfolk, initially, quietly convinced they would start a coup and her past would repeat. Instead, she met Eodri, a raptorik warrior who has since become her companion. Norok learns as much from him as he from her. So perhaps all change isn’t awful.

Fact / Her armour was the first forged by Yesterday. Improvements were constantly forced upon her by the inventive Wildclaw, but Norok could do without the uncertainty of change. Her resistance inevitably proved futile. Now that Yesterday is gone, the forge claimed by her apprentice, Achara, several individuals have pointed out that she could do away with the armour. No one would stop her. Norok continues to wear it anyway and no matter how dented it becomes she won’t let Achara replace it. She denies it’s because she misses the Wildclaw.

Likes / She has a collection of weapons that she finds fascinating; she has no interest in using weapons herself (she is a weapon) but she likes to keep them anyway. Norok prefers to fight head on and enjoys when a battlefield caters to that.

Dislikes / Being told that they’re solving this problem with diplomacy. Why does she even stay? Equally frustrating is being told that they ‘need a plan’. She doesn’t need a plan; she just needs to fight things. She also can’t abide those who won’t follow orders, she knows what she’s doing and she doesn’t need idiots running off getting killed.

Interests / While she’s mostly fond of patrolling and fighting, she also enjoys an afternoon out hunting. It’s slower and softer than a battle, but she finds it therapeutic in some indefinable way. Fen is good company for a hunt and sometimes she goes with him, but often she prefers to be alone. Thankfully, Fen doesn’t mind, he’s of the same opinion. Unlike Fen, Norok doesn’t keep trophies or anything like that, whatever she hunts is given to the clan.
