Caoineadh tavern + innkeeper On the edges of Refuge's city, you'll find Sidh's Gate. It smells of fresh baked bread and cider stew, and the light above the door is always on- Sidh's Gate never closes. Inside Sidh's Gate, there is a snapper- but not a draconic one, a large, well muscled young woman in humanoid form greets folks as they enter. She seems friendly, and she offers drinks to any newcomers that visit Refuge. There's just a few things:
-Never ask to see Caoineadh in her draconic form. She'll cheerfully tell you no, it's not much to look at, and she prefers two sturdy legs anyways. It's easier to wash tankards with opposable thumbs, too.
- Don't stay for more than three days. If you intend to stay in Refuge longer than that, Sidh's Gate can be a good place to stay until you find somewhere else, but three days is the limit. Caoineadh will kick you out, kindly, and assure you it's for your own good. You're welcome back after a little while staying elsewhere, but lingering isn't allowed. Only a select few are allowed permanent lodging- and you're not like them.
-Stay awake too late, and you'll hear a strange singing, one you'll wish you could forget. Don't search for the singer, and for Lightweaver's sake, don't try and sing the song along with the voice.
In her birthclan Caoineadh was apprenticed to Angrboda, the owner and innkeeper of Nidhogg's Kitchen. Almost immediately after hatching, she wandered over to the docks and found her way in, and then stayed. Her parents, fearful of Dróttningborg's effect on living souls, sent her on a journey- and a fateful one at that. She wandered for a while, too young to really know the way of the world, hoping to find her father's birthplace in Light's lands. While crossing through Lightning, she encountered the pirates who had killed her mother's tomb raider group. Seeking revenge on the one survivor, they decided that killing her daughter was revenge enough. They left Caoineadh for dead, though they never accounted for the ghoulish Skydancer holing up in the caves nearby. Tesai resurrected her- though she never saw his face. He trailed her as she travelled to the Refuge, and as she settled down, so did he, though she never knew of his role in her, ah, returned vitality.

REGULAR VISITORS FROM ABROAD
- Nytus' raiders visit once a month to the Refuge for therapy, and stay at Sidh's Gate. Their thieving habits land them in hot water every time with Caoin, who then tells them that unless they help out around the inn, they're not going to be given any fresh pie and provisions for their trip back. They're most often sent to the market, to the chagrin of the Refuge's local grocers. They've no idea that Caoin leaves out conveniently stolen small trinkets for them to "steal" so she can guilt them into helping.

"-but we thought you said you were low on cheese too so we-"
"-I saw this pretty tapestry, I thought it'd look nice on the wall there-"
"-s'cuse me, coming through, hey! I brought more mead, just so you can have it on hand if you'd like-" - Grove and Nova come twice a month so Nova can see Animus, and end up staying the night due to the long journey. They always stay at Sidh's Gate and make a point to see Kheimon, who's quite intrigued by these much younger Veilspun.
