Dragon Log

The second daughter of Sunfire and Moonshadow, born in the hatching that produced Corona and their green sibling, she is quieter and more "soulful" than either of her two sisters. An extremely thoughtful dragon who never acts without considering all angles first. She also has a fascination with the water, and an interest in the "outer planets" of a distant Solar System....

7-30-14: She has chosen her name, based upon one of the planets she enjoys studying so much. Her familiar, a shark-like Shale Thresher named Poseidon, approves. It is a break from the idea of naming herself in tune with her parents... or is it? There are, after all, "seas" on the Moon...

10-7-14: Poseidon has Awakened! Neptunia is thrilled for her lifelong friend, though she is a bit worried that he might want to leave now.... the Shale Thresher, however, seems perfectly content at the moment to remain near the cave in his usual place...

1-7-15: Poseidon went exploring... and came home with an interesting prize. Neptunia promptly claimed the Dappled Seal as her own, and he seems quite happy to be considered part of her family.....

4-8-15: Splishing and splashing is a lot of fun... but everyone has to grow up sometime, even seals. The Dappled Seal has Awakened! Only time will tell what he will do with his newfound energy and enthusiasm.... though between him and the Coatls it is likely that the fish in the Can had better watch their backs!

4-12-15: With all the Maren currently bonding to Dragons, it was inevitable that Neptunia would find one as well.... Triton seems to be a bit wary of her choice, but perhaps time will help him to warm up to her...

5-23-15: While Triton continues to wrestle with whether or not to consider Neptunia a friend--though he does now think of her as a Companion--the water-obsessed Tundra is taking some time to help her "cousin" with his newly Awakened familiar. If only Nightsedge would remember that porpoises and dolphins are not the same thing, maybe Flipper would stop feeling so insulted....

7-12-15: Triton appears to have made his decision regarding the Tundra who chose him. He has Awakened fully to the advantages of a close bond, and has already begun to show some greater maturity--and some great gifts he can bring to the table. His spells for finding deep-sea plants are especially appreciated....

4-26-17: Neptunia is older now, and has taken a liking to exploring the Festivals of Sornieth. Her favorite, of course, (other than Arcane) is the Wavecrest Saturnalia. This year she is taking delight in exploring the streets of the recently revealed city of Levitos.... ( )

Neptunia did not do too badly for her first ever dowsing effort, netting a giant sand dollar and 3 more Raffle tickets. She is quite satisfied with her catch, though a little startled by the anger displayed by the hosting Pearlcatcher. After all, SHE wasn’t the one to throw that scale. Perhaps the poor dragon got confused? Ah, well. Maybe the Pearlcatcher will be in a better mood tomorrow—especially since Wavedancer managed to catch a big fish and likely won’t be back….

4-27-17: Happy with her catch, the Tundra has decided to try again... ( ) …and will be joined in her efforts by Seaspray. Oh this should be interesting....

4-28-17: Neptunia was quite satisfied with her winnings, and thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the Festival, as well. Perhaps she will re-visit this sunken city some day, but in the meantime she needs to reassure Seaspray that his own results at dowsing, while not as satisfactory as he would have liked, were quite acceptable as far as the Clan is concerned...whatever Wavedancer might say....

9-11-18: Much to the Clan's dismay--especially the other Tundras--Neptunia has bonded with one of the new pests that have shown up in the Clan's hoard. The Plantation Pincher is, of course, quite satisfied with a familiar bond with a plant-eating dragon, while Neptunia is thrilled to have another "water" familiar--or at least a familiar that sometimes is found near water--to call her own. The rest of the Clan can only hope that the bond will keep the crab under control, or at least that he will be sated by eating all of Neptunia's food, and leave everyone else's alone....

12-22-18: The Plantation Pincher has Awakened! Of course, this is not necessarily a good thing, as the Hermit Crab is now aware of many more ways to steal plants, and seems to be looking to branch out away from Neptunia's private stores. Dusksahdow has had a stern talking to with her granddaughter, trying to instill in her the idea that she must keep her companion away from the Clan's main horde. It is unclear, however, if the lecture has done any good....

4-9-20: Today brought a rather surprising development, when the Clan’s Arctic Hippalectryon suddenly decided that he was tired of sleeping, and wandered up into the Planetarium. Neptunia immediately went over to him, attempting to help the strange looking creature return to the Hoard. The Hippalectryon had other ideas, however, and snuggled up to her side. Neptunia cannot convince him to leave, and the more she fails to get him to listen, the more his natural appearance seems to grow on her. After all, she named herself for a very cold, very blue planet, so why not have a cold, blue familiar? Its not like he’ll harm anything in here. In fact, cold air is good for the lenses…

4-29-20: Neptunia has not ventured outside the caves for some time, preferring to spend her days staring up at the sky in the Planetatrium. But while she loves to study the stars, her also loves water-related adventures and items, and the rash of boats in a bottle that have been appearing in the caves lately have caught her attention. Now she is on her way to the Wavecrest Saturnalia, to find this "Bottled Boats" Event for herself, and see if she can find a nice yacht...or maybe a spaceship... ( )

4-30-20: No Yachts, or Spaceships. But that Luxury Sailboat is a nice compensation prize, isn’t it? And the Pilot Boat and Container Ship are cute toys Neptunia can give her future hatchlings, if she ever gets around to having any…

5-27-20: Neptunia has returned to the “Bottled Boats” Event, to try once more for a spaceship…and while she’s at it, perhaps she can persuade a nice Maren to come home with her…. ( )

5-28-20: Still no spaceship, but Neptunia is very happy with her new toys....and her new friend the still unnamed Maren. Now all she has to do is figure out where to put her Trident…

7-8-20: The Arctic Hippalectryon continues to refuse to leave Neptunia's side. In fact, he has now Awakened! Neptunia has stopped trying to shoo the odd creature away, and is now quite happy for her friend. She is curious, however, at the odd coincidence of his Awakening on the same day that a lost Basic Hippalectryon has turned up at the lair and decided to settle itself in the Hoard. For some reason, Neptunia is getting the distinct impression that her friend knows more about this new familiar's appearance than he's letting on...

11-23-20: After years of waiting, Neptunia and her sisters finally have their “sister” dragon! The newest “Festival Egg” hatched yesterday into a beautiful brown and red female Earth Tundra…and today this star-struck little one has decided to accept the triplets’ offer and become their missing sibling! Neptunia cannot be happier, and her sisters are just as thrilled with this addition to the family…
