Melreyna left her birth-clan when it became clear that she and they followed very distinct modes of thought.

She values and prefers sincerity in demeanor and action.

The Light dragon may consider several possibilities when confronted with a situation, which leads her prone to vacillation.
However, once she has settled on a course of action, she follows it through unimpeded by regret.
Some may regard her as somewhat judgmental at times and in attempting to follow the meaning beneath the word and manner of others, may jump to conclusions mistakenly, but the error is generally repented.

In cold and more reluctant conversation, Melreyna can be surprisingly laconic.

Language is a topic of interest to her, which explains her continuously broadening vocabulary. The downside is that her predilection for verbosity can lead to a requirement for a translation in conversation with friend and stranger alike.

The clan-name was chosen by the merit she saw in certain forms of the written word, and the alternative slant it may bring to events. From learning of this she has also increased her awareness of oral practices.

As a general rule, Melreyna finds it of use to voice observations and ponderings aloud.

Her approach is to take knowledge on many aspects of the world and a dragon's existence in it. Much as out-rhyming another may be a preferable solution, she has learnt something of the ways of combat, and magic.

She takes an epistemologically pluralistic view on the world, and enjoys the company of those who are open to 'possibility'.

Being in a position of authority and leadership remains to be something of a odd experience for Melreyna when calm.

Not exactly being the strongest built Mirror (as of 25/7/2013 of the clan Mirrors she is the lightest, weight-wise) Melreyna prefers tactics of avoiding taking hits from the stronger examples of her kind and the heavier breeds, preferring to divert attention to ease the pressure on others, or open up an opportunity for another to land a blow on the aggroed foe.

Her light build does however make her quite the capable flier for a non-Wind Mirror.

As a general rule in both literal and social aggression, the Mirror takes a reactive approach.

It was only some time after her clan's founding that she realised why the endeavours of Lightning and Arcane should perhaps be treated with caution.

Her familiar is called Ki-Al-Ib (kee-al-eeb, he also answers to 'Kai', as he may more often be called), each syllable roughly relating to terms for 'fang' 'lone' and 'friend' respectively. When needed, he is a serene presence at her side, as well as one to provide a nudge into action as necessary.
