ABOUT. Matrim is a fairly unnerving dragon to come across, even if they are draconic and very much an imperial. Their eyes are a piercing blood-red and they have a tendency to appear and disappear as they wish, often at inconvenient times. Usually at the first sign of trouble. They used to hold the position of Shadow representative, but was found far too flighty to be any good at the job. Also, unapproachable. This was ideal for Matrim, who liked their alone time, and less so for any Shadow dragons in the clan with grievances. They gave it up to Ananke, the clan's resident storyteller, and went on about their business. As to what this business is, no one knows. Matrim's never paid any tolls that the clan's accountant knows of nor have they ever been observed doing chores; it's been rumoured that when they first joined, they sat down with Heracles and Nyx and settled on a way to stay in the clan. Any questions of loyalty were resolved then, too -- Discordia (mostly) trusts him, which is reassuring enough for anyone who knows her. Matrim's got secrets in spades, that's all that's clear. Even their own mate, Shae, doesn't know the half of it. It doesn't trouble their relationship, fortunately. As for everyone else, well, that's none of their business. What the rest of the clan doesn't know could fill the Sea of a Thousand Currents twice over -- Matrim keeps to their own. IMPRESSIONS. Matrim keeps to dark corners and prefers to go unnoticed by everyone. Wears either very dark purple or black (and is snobby about the difference). Smells faintly of sandalwood. Anyone who holds a conversation with them shouldn't look away because they'll disappear as soon as they leave one's sight; they're soft-spoken and very to-the-point. No cushioning the blow when it comes to them. Always in a hurry somewhere... PAST. Don't ask. You're not going to get an answer anyway. AFFILIATIONS. Shae: Mate. Shae's the only one who knows when Matrim is lurking. Discordia: Friend...mostly. Matrim's an independent agent, but he doesn't mind taking orders from Discordia if the occasion calls for it. Cybele: Friend. Matrim is immune to her charms and is one of the few who considers themself close to the heartbreaker. Udyr: Occasional employer.
