ABOUT.
Jasperite is, in a word, grumpy. If you ask other members of the clan, most will gladly (sometimes vehemently) tell you that he is short-tempered, moody, and has the worst bedside manner in the Scarred Wasteland, which is really saying something.

He joined the clan when it was still in its early years as a herbalist and healer looking to cure some of the more prolific diseases in the Wyrmwound. Warned by its leaders that the trip was perilous and would likely kill him, he set off anyway, only to return a few weeks later half-dead. Not long after his recovery, he decided to make his stay a permanent one.

Not one for empathy, Jasperite doesn't shy away from telling his patients all news: both good and bad. Often, his fellow healer Eidotheia has to be there to reassure them while he goes on in that unfeeling monotone of his. Even his frills, which should convey the emotions of a fae, do not flicker and twitch when he speaks.

It's not easy to tell what he is thinking. Save a close few, like Erebus, whose life Jasperite saved, and Anno, Erebus's sort-of-adopted daughter and youngest border guard of the Clan of Rattling Bone.

Not to worry, though. He's a skilled healer, if a bit harsh, but get on his bad side and you may find yourself with itching powder in your cast. Or worse.
