As his Ice Egg cracked open during the long Ice Age*, Avocado was bound to be an isolated and cold figure. Although hesitantly accepting to the love and care of his parents, contact with his siblings was an impossibility. In addition to his parents, Avocado made one exception; Blueberry. Something about her timidness made her company tolerable while he studied to sparse belongings of the Gaia Clan in their deep burrows.
*the long Ice Age refers to the period of June 30th to July 13th 2013, a dark and cold Ice season that lasted two seasons.
When Avocado noticed that Blueberry showed interests in his belongings, he started to share them with her, although reluctantly in the beginning. Marvelling at her skill in crafting new things out of the old, Avocado soon developed an interest and admiration for Blueberry. Later this admiration would develop in a strong and deep love; a feeling Avocado had difficulty expressing. One way he found he could express his feelings was by digging and collecting materials and trinkets for Blueberry to use.
Avocado showed great skill in digging, and was soon assigned to the Gathering Squad as a Digger. His responsibilities would be to find treasures and materials hidden underground. Together with Blueberry he devised efficient methods and machinery to aid in his excavating activities. They often spend long nights discussing ideas and devising new projects before falling asleep.
A Scrapmetal Tracker called Dogwood accompanies Avocado on his digging adventures. Dogwood is an intelligent robotic canine, tweaked and upgraded by Blueberry to fit Avocado's needs, being able to detect metal and other treasures underground and digging them up.
In addition to digging, Avocado takes pleasure in engineering and crafting like Blueberry. However, he often works alone and in secret on his projects, and hides the results from everyone else, even his beloved Blueberry.
