Quintus

Idealist, perfectionist, daydreamer. All of these things describe Quintus, who can often be found mooning about in a pile of notes and half-finished projects. Though there are some in the clan who believe him frivolous, he is also in fact a valued member of Delphi's scientific research community...if one who often butts heads with his more practical, less imaginative peers.

Quintus believes that life is precious in all of its forms, and many of his efforts are keyed towards improving not only the quality of life, but the lifeforms themselves to improve their traits and survivability--the object of survival, after all, being the continuation of precious life. He often works both with and directly on animal, beast clan, and even dragon subjects. While in a different clan all of this would be entirely benign, under Kejutan's decidedly amoral direction Quintus' work has been known to edge into decidedly horrifying territory, something he does not always notice himself until a project has skidded wildly out of control. The unsettling tendency of his projects to explode despite no obvious or inherent combustibility does not help.

Quintus is slightly gullible and perhaps a bit naive. Though he finds Drift to be hygienically repulsive, he often believes the things his fellow scientist makes up without question. He is also vindictive, and just as often seeks out revenge when he finds he's been had.

He maintains a flower garden for no reason more complex than that they are alive and beautiful. Everything in his garden is his own custom hybrid, and well suited to the Scarred Wasteland's harsh environment. He often appears to be talking to them, and while this was once true, more often than not he is actually addressing a small nocturne hidden among the blooms.
