__Summary__

_____A skittish and strange yet brilliant and innovative software developer hired to contribute to system frameworks for the SS Elysium. In spite of her paranoia, she accepted an offer to board the ship on its maiden voyage and assist its crew with a trip to retrieve some nematode-like alien lifeforms. Headstrong and idealistic, she’s certainly contributed to a fair share of spaceship scuffles, but her attention to detail and work ethics make her an important and valued member of the crew nonetheless. Her most notable contribution to the crew and perhaps her greatest achievement is her work on Helios, a learning AI designed to advise the crew and monitor ship systems.

__Personality__

_____Despite her frail-looking build, Min is scrappy and the provocative sort to start fights over petty arguments. Quick-to-anger outbursts seem to be her favorite emotion; while she is in no way capable of physical violence, she will have people drawn and quartered over mistakes others may find inconsequential. Unsurprisingly, Min has had quite a few brushes with death and even more visits to the emergency room over her temper and impulsive mouth.

_____There is an order to her apparent anarchy, and she spares no one from this wrath should they refuse to apologize. Her obstinacy demands she stick to her guns and never back down from her strong moral code, so anyone unfortunate enough to jaywalk through said code would become an enemy for life. Min has attended many academic detention sessions and lost several jobs as a direct result.

_____Similarly, she doesn’t let anyone walk all over her, no matter how highly-ranked they may be. Min does not particularly respect her superiors unless they’ve shown reason for them to earn it, and their “efficiency” be damned, she marches to the beat of her own drum and won’t hesitate to deviate from plans if it means she can escape additional work — especially those that might be failure-prone. Success is king, as it’s what kept her in jobs where she would normally have been fired for her poor temper management. Stubborn, crafty, diligent, and independent, she forges her own path in life, just as she’s always done.

_____Paranoia is the biggest thing to throw a wrench in Min’s life, however; her fear of the potential of her fears is greatly debilitating, and her scope of opportunities has suffered from this. Stressors get to her easily, exposure therapy does nothing to desensitize her nerves, and obsessions over curbing this behavior worsen her mental state. Min typically avoids or treats anxiety over her fears by drowning herself in work — not that it helps that much. Above all, avoiding potential conflict with fear is her number-one priority, to the point where she would do anything to avoid it.

__Appearance__

_____While she is a trailblazer in her field, predatorily so, she’s rather old-fashioned, and this is obvious from her outfit, mannerisms, and speech. The only new apparel to contrast with her vintage look is her headset, as even her futuristic visor sings of atom-punk days gone by. She is most commonly seen wearing a navy-blue man’s reefer coat with bright yellow epaulets and a decorative banner styled like traditional Chinese plate armor, the SS Elysium’s phthalo-blue uniform vest, cargo pants, and boots with the Elysium uniform leg guards.

_____When off-duty, Min becomes a much more approachable-looking person. She trades her visor for a sporty pair of aviator shades, loses the uniform, and only occasionally wears gloves, though by no means does this make her any less assertive. While she doesn’t play any sports, tennis shorts and rugby shirts are some of her favorite casual apparel items.

_____Nightmares of mission failure have begun to wear at her conscience despite her scrappy attitude. Disheveled hair and raccoon eye-bags frequently grace Min’s sleepless face. The night terrors have her somewhat overweight and slouching as the shortest member of the SS Elysium’s crew. The constant torment has left her especially irritable and ready to fight, and despite her frail build, she has catty reflexes and is more than resourceful enough to put up a good fight against most of the crew members.
