Cebeline

~*The Shifter of Seasons*~

Nobody in the clan is quite sure where this dragon came from, what she was or even what happened to her. They're not even sure she is female, or even a dragon. Despite resembling a fae in shape, her wings and frills are instead branches whilst her skin is more akin to bark than scales. Her branches can never decide on a season, instead showing all four at once, with blooming pink flowers on one, green leaves on another and ice on yet another. Some of the clan refuse to call her a dragon at all, instead referring to her as a "fae-shaped tree".

However, they never do that within her earshot. Though she does not speak common Draconian or even any language, her knowing eyes speak for her. Whoever has looked in them has seen an ancient wisdom and a brutality that scares even the hardened warriors of the clan. What is even more terrifying, however, is the power she possesses: Cebeline is capable of quickening, slowing or even stopping time altogether. In particular, she seems to extend her influence over the seasons, which along with her tree form leads some dragons to believe she is some forgotten facet of the Gladekeeper. However, there is not enough information to prove or disprove that theory.

One thing is for sure: very few dragons wish to go near her and she often avoids other dragons, with the exception of the clan's hatchlings who she views with almost hungry eyes. Indeed, only two dragons of the clan do not fear her: one is Ranumgen, who being a trickster and a deity simply cosies up to her and calls her 'Ceb'. The other is Absolon, a mage with enough faith and power to keep her at bay. Indeed, despite the male fae's tiny size, it is clear that he is one of the few things she fears.
