Clan Lodzhal is a clan devoted to knowledge, protecting others and are followers of Lightweaver. Many of the drakes who come to the clan eventually go to Glittermom as a result.

The clan is located on the border of the Sunbeam Ruins and the Sea of a Thousand Currents. To the north is a redwood forest in which the clan will often go to train and play among the tall trees. To the east is a beautiful view of the Sea of a Thousand Currents. The sunlight will often glitter off of the waves, soothing many and reinforcing the idea of Clan Lodzhal's first alliance with Clan SilverTail in the Water Flight. To the south is a fresh water river. Streams go through the main portion of the clan as to the west. The main part of the clan's territory is filled with gardens and flowers of all shapes, sizes and colors. The most distinct and most prized of the sections is the sunflower field that is often seen as a tribute to Lightweaver.

A white, marble building is nestled at the border of the field and the redwoods. Dark, tall, redwood bookshelves are filled with books and scrolls. Bright banners are hung displaying the light emblem. Tables are in the center that are for studying and working in groups as well as a desk for the librarian on the first floor. The second floor has small study areas filled with writing materials while the third floor has shelves that are just waiting to be filled. Large, glass windows allow sunlight to come in and fill the library with light.

The first thing Lorian remembered was being alone along the boarder of the Sunbeam Ruins, overlooking the dense green foliage of the Viridian Labyrinth. As much as she was tempted to cross the boarder, perhaps in pursuit of flowers and green dragons like her, Lorian felt that it wasn't her home and perhaps never would be.

So she followed the border, making sure she didn't stray from Lightweaver's domain. It felt like days had passed before the lush green foliage turned into something dark and dare she say eerie. The shadows danced among the trees, the wind blowing through the brambles teasing her for her naivety and for being so alone and... vulnerable. Needless to say, Lorian didn't sleep well. Or at all.

After what felt like weeks of travel, the darkness faded away and was replaced with bright blue waters reflecting the brilliance of the sun's rays. It was here that she was tempted even more to cross the boarder. Tired, she picked a soft patch of grass and sprawled out in the sun, uncaring of the consequences at this point.

Lorian awoke to the feeling of being poked and nudged. She swatted the nuisance with her wing and shifted her head so it was facing in the opposite direction. Feeling like something had landed on her, she rolled over, only to hear a sharp squeak. Her eyes snapped open and she quickly shifted to get a good look at whatever the creature was.

Surrounded by flowers and near a river that led into the Sea of a Thousand Currents, she knew as soon as she saw the fae holding a stick that her journey was done. This exact spot would be the center of her new home.

"I am Lorian." She stated, staring at the green fae, "It is my duty to ensure your safety."

The fae tilted his head, his pale yellow eyes meeting hers, "I am Awidat and you're late."

The two stared at each other, neither daring to move, even as the sun rose high into the sky, "What clan are you from?"

The fae poked her with the stick in what seemed like a playful gesture, "As of just a little bit ago..." He smiled, "Yours."

"Just like that?" Lorian frowned, "Why do you trust me?"

Awidat dropped the stick and came closer, "Just as you instinctively want to keep me safe, I want to stay by your side and keep you safe, my matriarch."

Lorian got up and stretched, "We shall be of Clan Lodzhal" She looked fondly around her, admiring the area, "and this will be our home."

Lorian looked over her home, her lips twitching into a faint smile before glancing at the the copper watch she always carried with her. She still had time.

Lorian made a mental note of what still needed to be done and admired the progress she and Awidat had in what felt like the short time they had called this place their home. They were starting to have a steady stream of supplies, especially as new dragons came to join the clan. It was almost mind boggling to have so many willing individuals want to come here.

It made her question what was going on for this situation to be happening. She wasn't much. Sure Lorian was protective, but did she really have what it took to be clan leader? Awidat assured her that she was making a big fuss out of nothing, that Lorian was doing a good job.

She wasn't going to be dooming her growing clan.

Lorian had secured a strong alliance between her clan, Clan Lodzhal, and Clan SilverTail, led by a pair of guardians who were also starting their own clan. She was rather proud of her first alliance, not to mention the trades and friendship that was forming between the members of both clans. She had sent a young spiral, one of two twins, over to that water clan.

She glanced back at her clock and upon noting that it was just about time, she took to the skies and flew in the direction of Clan SilverTail. She was to meet Kaden at the halfway point.

Kaden was already there when she arrived and by his side was a rather energetic dragon who was climbing on just about anything and everything. The two clan leaders ended up speaking for a while, giving each other updates on how their clans were doing as well as setting up some future trades when it was deemed that the two groups should part ways.

The coatl, who was introduced as Daron, stared at her expectantly. It didn't take long for Kaden to explain that the young drake wanted to get out and see the world. In fact, Daron wanted to be an exchange student at Clan Lodzhal. With a soft smile, Lorian agreed and so Daron joined her on the trip to Lightweaver's domain.

About halfway there, Lorian was notified that she had arrived late.

Lorian near the nesting grounds, her body pressed firmly against the soft, sun bleached earth as she kept a look out for any potential dangers as well as make sure that the hatchlings didn't get into trouble.

She found it hard to smile nowadays.

Her clan had grown tremendously and it was getting to the point where it was hard to keep up with all of them. She certainly wasn't a controlling kind of dragon, but it was hard when she'd be notified about dragons darting here and there, getting permission to visit Clan SilverTail, changing their minds and sleeping in instead.

How could she lead a clan when she found it hard to get up in the morning?

Awidat had no desire to lead anyone and so she picked the next best choice, someone who could easily multitask to assist, a dark spiral named Duves. Well, Duves was declared Lorian's second in command right around the time that her first hatchlings with Awidat all declared that they were going to Lightweaver.

Lorian found her motivation waining ever since.

Duves was given more and more duties until it got to the point where Duves was essentially leading the clan, not that Duves wanted that much control and power.

Duves just wanted to be left alone with her numbers. Lorian snorted at the thought. That spiral was practically obsessed with math, ever since the spiral had joined the clan as a hatchling. Oh how she had grown up.

Lorian was considering leaving the clan to join Lightweaver.

The only yellow part of her was her eyes and it made her question as well as everything else if she was even supposed to be a clan leader.

She just felt so.... worthless.

So many dragons left to Lightweaver.

All of her children left.

Yet the clan flourished.

It confused Lorian so terribly much.

One particularly rough day, Awidat came to her with a request. He wanted her to be his test subject for something he had been working on for a long time although he refused to explain what the project was, but alas, Lorian found that she couldn't say no to her mate and charge. Especially not that adorable look he gave her.

So she agreed.

It didn't hurt. If anything, it was more of a tingling sensation that ran along her hide and through her very being. It warmed her core as if she was sitting in the sunlight, but then it was gone.

Opening her eyes, she looked at what she had become. Her belly and horns were now a bright, almost glowing yellow that matched her eyes and the green that remained became striped.

So she had been blessed by the Lightweaver and her beloved Awidat...

Her clanmates flooded in to see her reaction. She found herself flooded with compliments and so many thank yous. They told her that they had been secretly saving up for the scrolls to change her appearance that way she'd match what she was like on the inside for all to see.

Daron wove his way from the crowd to offer her a nicely wrapped package. Inside held a set of golden armor, an illuminated sash as well as a few pieces of jewelry.

They wanted to thank her for being such a supportive, kind leader.

It made her heart leap with joy. Not because she was beautiful, but because of how much they clearly loved her. It was as if every nice thing that they had been saying to and about her for years finally broke through to her.

In the next few days that followed, Lorian resumed her position as leader and to Duves' relief, took back all of her old responsibilities. She no longer had the burning desire to join Lightweaver although she'd gladly go when the Lady of Light asked for her, but Lorian had a clan to take care of.

This was her home.

Lorian played with her watch. She knew that she should probably get the time on that old thing fixed or at least taken a look at. It was always running late, usually by about ten minutes, but alas, she was too attached to it. It was the only thing that she had from before Clan Lodzhal was established.

Besides, Lorian had grown accustomed to showing up about twenty minutes before her watch said it was time or by judging the time based on the sun.
